Aparently the stellarvue SV102 uses identical optics to the Synta 102ED. Not sure what the price of these is in the UK either though, but at least they are at market

The SV scopes cost a LOT here!

I don't know who has a synta version of it.

What do we think of the new burgess 91mm triplet?

And there does seem to be an awful lot of astro photos taken with te ed80.

There's a long ol' list of people who have and still continue to take fantastic images with the ED80. However, those BO 91mm triplets do look very interesting, I think one of our distinguished imagers is doing a review so wait & see and see if Burgess Optical live up to their catchphrase 'Making the awsome affordable'.

Certainly on paper a triplet should outperform the doublet esp for imaging.

Yeah, no diagonal but including an EP is a bit odd, but those 40mm Paragon EP's are supposed to be the bees knees.

Is the zenithstar 80 basically the same as the skywatcher?

No, although the SkyWatcher Equinox 80 has similar(ish) specs to the ZS80 Flourite.

My uncle had the Dolomite Sprint from new and I had a go in one later. Awesome car and a very interesting engine (only one camshaft).
