My first (reasonably resembling what it's supposed to be) M42

12 stacks of 5 second exposures, ISO 1600, 55mm FL (I think) - Canon 350D (Modified). No tripod, just used an upside-down chair, and considering the equipment, I think I did fairly well, I got some Nebulosity!

No processing other than stacking, not sure how to do that yet!

its a great shot considering the equipment! what about trying a short trip into the darker skies of the countryside, shortest focal length lens you have and some nice widefield shots ? your moded camera might pick up even more nebulosity

At the moment it's difficult to get to darker skies as I don't have a means of transport there, plus the ground would probably have to serve as the tripod unless I took something suitable with me (I used a chair).
