Just a quick heads-up, as today only (Kindle Daily Deal) Amazon is selling the Astronomy for Dummies kindle edition for £2.89 instead of £17!

That may be a very good deal, but you might want to investigate further before you buy?

I bought this title in Jan last year for £7.60. It's the 2nd edition and it's still available on Amazon today for £9.49

This 2nd edition is quoted as having

• Print Length: 344 pages
  
• Publisher: For Dummies; 2 edition (11 Mar 2010)
  
• Optimized for larger screens
  

The one you linked to is the 3rd edition

• File Size: 2969 KB
  
• Print Length: 360 pages
  
• Publisher: For Dummies; 3 edition (4 Oct 2012)
  

The file size is a fair bit smaller, which may mean less pictures, drawings, diagrams, or a lower resolution? It may also mean that it uses a different compression method and it might be better than the 2nd edition I have?

As I said, this might be a great deal. I just thought I'd point out the difference.

To be honest, for £2.89 I can live with lower resolution photos. I have bought it and it looks fine. :-)
