Note to Self!

I must write myself a note to remind me that I have a very useful pair of binos that can be put into service in a few seconds for those occasional breaks in the cloud! This maybe what I need to overcome the observing blues that I am suffering at the hands of the fickle UK weather.

Definitely recommended, having a pair of binoculars.

Yep, I find that I am more and more using my bino's in place of my telescopes. The 10x50's are ready as soon as I get outside and the 15x70's a minute more. So glad I upgraded to binoculars.

I thin I will too - what about the problem with shaking - not that im a alcholic or anything, but what magnification is best to reduce this.

A monopod would perhaps be useful, though I know of people who just rest their arms on an upturned broom.

Use the standard 8x42 bird watching type.

No shake and lots of choice.
