Hi All

This is my first Clear Mars this season.

Seeing was great.

Captured @ f40 with an 8" SCT and a Mono Toucam.

The image is a colour combination of R IR G B as this gave the best balance.

Still having trouble with the Limb. Can anyone suggest a way to improve the Limb

artifact before opposition?

Regards

Ed

OK sorry every one

Heres what i mean.......

Before Mars comes to Opposition and is in

a gibbous type phase, webcam imagers tend

to get a harsh sharpening effect along the limb.

It is nearly always there and dissapears at around opposition time.

I think it has something to so with Phase,Atmospheric conditions and

processing but many armatures seem to pick it up.

Only some of the pros seem to be able to reduce-Eliminate it. (hence my question)

I hope that helps.

regards

Ed
