First M42

Hi All

well it wasnt a brilliant night last tnight but it was the first clearish one in months.

a very bright moon i am sure didnt help (well i tell myself that) and unfortunately my setup still cant get past 130 sec subs. Also i need to clean something in the image train as you can see not the best of starts.

ED 80, HEQ5, 32 x 130 sec, 15 Dark, No Flats, no Bias

plus a 12 x 30 sec to try to get some of the core in. so first attempt at a composite also.

Very nice plent detail , for me the core could be a good deal brighter, there are 4 stars in there so it would not be an un natural look to have it a lot brighter , you could improve it without blowing it out

Yes, very nice with a lot of detail If you could manage to take flats I think most of your dust bunnies would go in the stacking.
