That's interesting...I went to the First (Stellarium) link and found mine is three versions out of date. Is it best to do a full un-install or will just downloading take care of all the updates? Anyone done this and also why doesn't it say later versions are available when you launch it?

Updates are regularly announced on SGL if you miss them elsewhere.

You just need to download and run the setup file, the programme is then updated automatically and keep your location details. Re the update availability - you could suggest this to the developers.

I use Stellarium, and I have to say that for a free programme it is a very useful bit of software for a noob like myself. I may be easily pleased, but I like it. :-)
