At last !

Well tonight (as of 5 mins ago) I managed to get outside with my binoculars and see a couple of things. First of was Jupiter and I could just make out one moon as a little dot of light. Then onto to something I've always wanted to see...the pleiades! .

I've been waiting so long to see it with my own eyes.

Its been the perfect end to an otherwise Rubbish week.

I sure was. The pleiades were very very nice through bins

It's been slim pickings down here in the South East of the country.

Glad you managed to get out to see something. The Pleiades are a fine sight during the Autumn / Winter, especially with bins.

The pleiades is one of my favorite sights usings the binos & the coathanger star cluster.

Tonight is exactly the kind of night I wasn't binoculars for. Cloudy all night until I came to bed to lock up, looked outside clear as a bell. Getting the scope out then was out of the question but to have a pair of binoculars would have done me or a quick ten minutes while the kettle boiled :-(
