Cocoon half-way

Oh, that weather!

This fall has been crappier than most with very few clear nights. Last night proved reasonable so I started on a project that I want to do while I can. The moon is more or less gone so LRGB it is and Cocoon is the target.

I need about twice as much in order to get this "well done" but here is a first shot at a quick and dirty process in PI and PS.

15 x 10m L

6 x 10m R

6 x 10m G

6 x 10m B

9 x 10m Ha (used to slightly touch up R)

Celestron EdgeHD 925 with Lepus 0.63x, SBIG ST-8300M with Baader filters in SX Wheel. 10Micron GM2000HPS on Balcony Pier. All subs unguided.

That's going to be a corker! Nice to see so much definition and detail within the clouds of the nebula.

Try to add plenty to the blue channel, there is some decent reflection nebulosity to chase here too
