The impact of V bad seeing

Thought it may be interesting for maybe some of the newer imagers to show the impact of bad seeing.

This one was average to good seeing

and this is exactly the same set up but with VERY bad seeing

So if your image is not turning out as you would like, maybe it's not just your capture and processing that needs improving !!!

I do like these comparisons (and that first pic of yours, it's a beauty!)

I wish I'd understood this when I first started out (before I found SGL) as I took quite a few backwards steps when I was starting out because what I thought would improve my pictures didn't seem to. I know now that when everything seemed to be getting worse, this was probably why...

I spent so many hours puzzling over the eye piece back then, when now, I can tell within a few seconds how good an image i'm likely to be able to get. I just used to think a clear night was all I needed to get a good picture! :rolleyes: Live and learn...
