Went to Keele University's open day yesterday... the only thing which wasn't open (at the time I was there anyway) was the observatory... but thought I'd post a picture of it anyway. Would love to see inside...

I drove up one evening as the forecast was good and of course it clouded over as soon as I got there. Will try and make it the next clear Tuesday. Been saying that for about 3 years now!

Go on Tuesday nights - allways a free open night for the public - I think they like you to phone ahead so they can judge numbers. You just have to see the scopes in those domes and the control room - and they give you a sit down chat with Q 'n' A too - fascinating experience - highly recommended - I must go again sometime
