condensation?

I put my scope out about 7 to cool came in about 11 and i have just looked at the primary and it looks cloudy

is this normal after 2 hours of been back inside?

cheers yeti I took the dust cap off and pointed to the floor and it's receding just worried about dog hairs now

you can even buy a 12v one aimed at the astro community, mind why anybody would pay a premium price for hair dryer i do not know

I would suggest that you do not immediately put the dust cap on when you come back inside. I know the instinct is to want to protect the precious optics from dust, but trapped moisture (has no where to go if you seal the scope with a dust cap) will be far more damaging long run that a few specks of dust.

Another bane of my life, dog hairs! They get everywhere, how wee stinky isn't bald by now I don't know....

I store mine in the garage which is the same temperature as outside. Cover it with an old cut down quilt cover for dust protection.
