Steve Ward
Wise choice , I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.The first "accessory" I would recommend would be a copy of Mr Richards excellent primer " Making Every Photon Count" http://www.skyatnightimages.co.uk/Steve. skybadger
In rfesponse to the nikoon issue of being unable to lock the mirror - have you tried the delay before exposuire setting ? Basically it puts in a half second vibration damping delay after moving the mirror before the exposure is started.also try a Hahnel expoisre controller for longer exposures than 30 seconds.Works fine.I tried the Nikon and Canon cameras before selecting Nikon - I hated the controls, the plastic and the bulkiness and most importantly an excessively bright light on the back of the Canon whenever an exposure was running. My tuppenceMike
