First Light ED80 - M81 & M82

Hi all.

This is my first test with my new scope.

Scope: Skywatcher ED80

Guidescope: Orion Mini Guider & QHY5

Mount: EQ5 Pro

Filter: Astronomik CLS

Camera: Canon 1100d

Exposure: 12x5min

One problem I have. The red channel is really noisy. Is this cause of the CLS filter or unmodded camera?

There is no detail at all.

Nice looking image. I had a similar noise problem in the red channel when using the cls with an un-modded camera, not sure which one it was though. Red channel noise was much better without the filter though. I've had my camera modded since but haven't use it with the filter yet.
