Skywatcher Synscan update 3.30 Beta 29

Hi all !

Did anyone notice on the new version that there is some sort of camera control section in the utilities or setup menu ?

Anyone has an idea ob what this is about ?

Maybe something to do with the Allview mount?

Quiet possible, since they seem to have unified the FW for the different mount.

And what about the encoder section ? Can anyone explain ?

There's a new beta out: SynScanV0332AZEQB05. This is supposed to be the last beta before the production version.

Things have moved on the release version (3.32) is now out and claims to cover AZ and EQ mounts.

I have downloaded this but have a second hand NEQ6 and no PC connect cable the Handset version is 3.0.6, I currently have Firmware 3.27 loaded, I tried to update using a third party mount control cable, great for running the mount with Stellarium but the update program won't recognise the handset. I tried Synta's detect PC utility and it's sees the handset on com3, I used this to set-up Stellarium. Does anybody know if the Synta PC link is wired different to a mount control cable? I don't see why it would be, but I have been wrong before.

If I can get an update I'll report back, I'm genuinely fed-up with being told 3 star alignment failed on 3.27.
