Anyone about this week. My forecast map says its good Wednesday night?

Wednesday does look about the best day so far. I hope to get out for a bit of observing even if the moon is still a bit on the intrusive side.

Any good lunar images from last night Lee?

I left it till the end so as not to draw my usual clouds in! I did get one of the terminator with that crater with the Greek name. I can't remember what it was called but think it began with T.

Edit... The crater with the centre pinnacle is Theophilus

Cracking image again Lee. It's great seeing pics of what we were all observing up at RC, maybe some future Jupiter shots when it reaches a more favourable position?

It was a trial run to experiment with camera settings. I want to generate a mosaic of the moon by stitching several images together. Hopefully if it stays clear, that's tonight's goal

Sorry, can't do tonight either.

A good night (or rather, a good morning this morning) - I managed to get a mosaic of the Moon sorted along with a close up of one of the mountain ranges. Both of which is on my Flicker page in my signature. I did try for Jupiter too but it was too close to the moon and washed out. All in all, a productive night

I've just had a look Lee, and very nice detail on that photo. Are the bright pin point dots mountains reflecting the light?

The solar day looked fun, loads of scopes there! are they doing another one soon as my PST could do with an outing?

PS, Yes, the bright areas was the setting Sun on the side of the mountains on the Moon.
