Old friends ......

Was up at 03:45 this morning and the sky was clear. I saw Orion, the Pleides and Taurus very clearly through my binoculars. It was like seeing old friends again and I was very excited. Jupiter and Venus looked beautiful and I can't wait to see them through my 'scope at a reasonable time of the night! I love astronomy!!

The flask, the ridiculous wolly hat (stargazers beanie of course) the Jaffas, snow boarding trousers that make far too much noise and the coonstellation Orion - bliss!!! Oh did I mention clouds

When i see orion rising at about 7pm in the east, i know my observing season has started.

It is always nice to see that area of the sky reappearing.

Beanie hats, warm undies, woolly jumpers? Never needed them, must have some arctic ancestors (vikings, maybe)
