First light (proper)

Bought a 2h 4se recently for a camping trip / music festival ... couldn't sleep last night so popped it out in back garden at about 3.00 spent near to 2 hrs looking at Jupiter, pretty impressed. Realised I have a hole in my EP collection though, 7mm was too much and 18mm nice but not quite enough. Think I need something around the 12 - 15mm mark.

Nice scope, good on planet's ( well Jupiter so far)

Can't wait to see peoples faces when they see Jupiter through it at the festival

Congrats on a good nights none sleep, especially as Jupiter was with you, somewhat makes up for the lack of sleep I would think. I also find Jupiter a pleasure to spend hours with, got to love that giant ball of gas. Good luck with your eyepiece search too.

Nice one Knobby - can tell the festival season is on us as the weather turns for the worse again. Can't wait to see Jupiter again and Orion - feels like its just around the corner

thats brave taking it to a festival !!! , will they remember seeing Jupiter though ?

Its a soul music festival, friendly and civilised atmosphere ( so the wife has promised me )

I think I'd like a 12mm x cel lx to fill ( partly ) the gap as I have a 5, 7, 18, 25 and 32 !

Anyone got one they could get to me by Friday night ?

Well ... It was nice and dark ! Coz it was cloudy and raining non stop :-(

Scope stayed in the boot all weekend
