Triple star ????

Has anyone ever split any triple star systems ??? do they exist and where ?

There are quite a few, my favourite is omicron 2 Eridani, it is main sequence, white dwarf and red dwarf star.

I'd imagine there are lots. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iota_Cassiopeiae is lovely and well placed, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alkalurops is also great. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigma_Orionis Sigma Orionis is also excellent and four stars.

Sounds really interesting....I will def. have a look at some of those. Triple and more star systems has allways facinated me. I guess it is all the raw power being close and facinating.
