2 inch EP won't fit 200p?

Hey people,

Probably being really stupid here, I bought a 2 inch EP (http://www.amazon.co.uk/TS-Optics-Super-Plossl-eyepiece-telescopes/dp/B004K1YKMO) Cheaper of course but it doesn't fit in my 200p.

I have taken off the 1.25 inch adapter, what am I doing wrong?

i know its a silly question but have you undone the locking screw sufficiently?

Yes it seems the barrel for the EP is 1mm to small?

Didn't know if i required an adapter?

Have you put in the 2" adapter otherwise you ep will just rattle about

As has been said, you need to use the 2" adapter in place of the 1.25" one you have removed. The 2" eyepiece won't fit securely in the focuser tube without it.

PS: The link you posted is to a 1.25" 32mm eyepiece.

Whoops, Yeah its a 2 inch EP I have not the 1.25.

So can anyone link me up to a 2 inch adapter the for 200p?

If your scope is new it should have come with both

To make amends Hooch I have found this company who can certainly help you though they are based in Germany and I have no idea what the postage would be. Probably not the cheapest option or alternatively, you could post a PM to James or Steve at FLO to see if they have any odd adapters hanging around - worth a try.

Got a few offers of £20 - £25 and £10

In the end I sent an email to the bloke I bought the scope off a few months ago and hes willing to send me one so ill bung him a bit of cash for it, top bloke!
