Quick widefields of M31 M13

Concentrated on the moon tonight but after it went behind trees, I

took a couple of widefields with the D40 prime focus on my 66mm WO Petzval

before packing away

M13 is one frame and M31 is three frames in Registax

Not bad for 'quickies' Phil, you didn't say what the exposure time was?

By coincidence, I'm out in the obs now, imaging M31

Had just finished a hour of NGC7000, and couldn't resist M31 before packing up.

Should have stuck to ISO 400 as I got more noise

than usual

Nicely done Phil. You can tell from the single shot quick and dirty pics that the little scope is capable of amazing views. I set up earlier, beautiful clear skies, by the time the scoppe had cooled down we had loads of cloud cover.......gave up about ten minutes ago.

You can easily work out the potential of that setup on M31. More time on it will deliver a corker.
