I just had my first attempt at imaging with the Planetary mode in APT. It's very good, found it quite useful as a webcam subsitute - what do you think of the image below?

I used a 2x Barlow with a red filter and did this during the day, approx 16:00Hrs whilst I had the moon in my back garden (it dissapears over the house later at night currently). I took 2000 frames and stacked the best 80%.

Hopefully we'll get some clear evenings this week and I'll concentrate on some serious lunar work.

Nice image but very dark on my monitor :(

Great idea to work in daylight using red filter or red channel against blue sky :( Thought about it this hot sunny week but too hot and bothered to try:cool:

How about these two for an improvement?

First is Apenninus region and second the Walther Crater.

Not quite so sharp on the mountains as I was in 10x via APT and already 2x on the Barlow. Darker shots here compared to daytime. Processing was much easier. Still used a red filter.
