NGC 6543 (Just)

My first attempt, this is 3 hours of 5 min exposures and quickly processed, think its got potential but guess i need a LOT more data ?

I can see something there and you might well be able to tease more out of that data with processing. I've no doubt more data would help as you say

Thanks think more data is required and better processing. My scope is adding diffraction spikes to the central star which is a shame. Pretty sure I can see 2 fuzzies as well

More subs with a shorter exposure I would suggest - I think you may have some overexposure.

Good point these were 5 mins and actually a bunch of 10 mins ones as well will try 3 min and see how it goes

If you want the shell then you need to take long subs and over expose the centre. You then need a set of shorter subs to capture the central area without blowing it. Composite these two images together for the final image

ahh thats interesting so 10 mins will be good but get some shorter ones as well.
