Does anyone know where i can get a solar filter from for less than £50?

If you buy some Baader Solar film and make a cardboard holder you will get a perfectly safe Solar filter for under £25.

They cost £20 from Widescreen Centre, I just went there yesterday :-) includes nice chat about stargazing in general..

FLO sell it, so do greenwitch , F1 telescopes, 365 astronomy, teleskope service

but make sure you get the ND5, ND3 is JUST FOR IMAGING NOT VIEWING and dont get turbo film as this is just to pretect the optics from dust not for solar viewing or imaging

it is yes. i know its from telescope house but it is ordered from amazon which has never let me down

i know wht you mean, iv had problems in the past buying from amazon (but the goods coming from a seperate company) and amazon basacally saying that its got nothing to do with them but the company sending (they just open the market place for them) but telescope house is a very good company iv bought a lot of stuff from them in the past and no problems even with a PST. it seems TH is closed till monday cos of the bank holiday
