just a quick but important question. does "skyliner" skywatcher apply to dobsonian scopes only ? the word skyliner being key.

usually the same scope on a e/q is explorer ? am i right in this thinking? cheers.

The Skywatcher Skyliners are the dobsonian telescopes and the Explorer range are equatorialy mounted. Generally the Explorers and Skyliners have similar focal lengths except the Skyliner 200 which has a focal length of 1200mm and the Explorer has a focal length of 1000mm.

Yes. The tripod mounted reflectors are branded as Explorers (both EQ and AZ mounts) - apart from the Skyhawk 1145P that is .
