NASA releases new time lapse video of Earth

Wow, just seeing Earth's atmosphere as a Halo is amazing, and to think that halo is the one thing that keeps us alive, and our magnetosphere, although we can't see it, being responsible for the aurorae, it looks even more beautiful when looking at the Earth from space rather than actually on the Earth. That light pollution is just depressing...

I think somewhere I saw blue Aurorae on Saturn, does anyone know why it's blue and not green like on the Earth? Is it the gases present in the atmosphere of Saturn or something?

The more videos like this I see the more I tend to convince myself that the earth itself is a living entity and that we (along with all other life forms on the planet) are just a part of it, much like the cells of our bodies are apart of us.

Nice video!

Solaris comes to mind :) .. though not quite.
