johninderby
PST CaseIf you've been looking for a case for your PST but think the Coranado PST case is overpriced and not exactly high quality there is an alternative. This one from Alendale Stores is just the right size and not too expensive at £25.00 plus shipping. It comes with a solid foam block but it's not difficult to cut the opening for the PST. Just put some masking tape over the top of the foam and mark out the outline of the PST. Then using a steel rule and a sharp utility knife make your first cut in the foam. Then cut the rest of the way through with a serrated knife. Remove the foam "plug" and cut off about two inches from the bottom of it and then put it back into the opening. It took me a less than ten mnutes to do the job. You could hack up the foam from the PST shipping box to fit (it's a few inches too short for the case) but then you're stuck with the problem of the PST being such a tight fit that it's a pain to get it out of the foam. I think this case is a much nicer one than the Coronado one as well as being easier to get the PST in and out of it.Aluminium Flight Case With Foam Block (550x220x175mm)http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium-Flight-Case-Foam-Block-550x220x175mm-/290686381335?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item43ae422d17John
