32mm eyepiece options

Hi

I am looking for a 32mm eyepiece.

I decided on the sw panaview but surprise surprise its not in stock.

Can any one recommend some alternatives around the same price point?

i have just bought Telescope House Meade 5000 Series 32mm Super Plossl Eyepiece 2" the FOV isnt as wide but there meant to be good. for the price you cant moan either what scope you using it on?

The aspheric costs a bit more but is sooooooo much better. Can't recommend it enough.

Daniel is right, I also can recommend the 32mm Panaview. I use it in my 300p and it's great.

I rang scope and skies and they have no sw panaview in stock in contradiction to their website.

well what a bummer! these are nearly the same as the pana veiw and in stock as i rang up yesterday and was having a nice chat with them and i chose the meade 32mm just to see what it offers i will probably end up getting the 40mm version of the antares to compare Antares 30mm 2inch | Telescope Accessories | Rother Valley Optics

I agree. This shortage is a complete pain.

I spoke to a couple of retailers and they have people on their waiting lists already so when stock comes in , it has already been assigned.

Loolks like a case of if you see it buy it

I spoke to Stockport bino but they do not have the 32mm?

I still reckon you should save a little more and go for the aspheric. Tried one next to a panaview a while back, and while the panaview was good, the aspheric was mind blowing. Definitely worth the extra.

In a 200 Dob...I would be tempted to look at the 25mm Celestron X-Cel LX or the meade hd60 range...or the panaview 26mm if you want a 2inch fitting..

Just keep looking at astro buy and sell uk and ebay. I'm sure one will come up soon. The only other thing I'd try is calling a few independents just to see if they have one gathering dust on a shelf.

hoping it comes tomorrow as advised by RVO due to the bank holidays which i forgot about i will pm you when it comes and i manage first light. i know the feeling when you want something quickly but don't want to get it in case its a bad choice plus if had come i wouldnt have been able to use it with all this cloud !

I am also looking at the baeder 32mm but it is priced at £135 - more than i wanted to pay - assuming it is in stock

I have read the meade reviews online and they all seem positive and the fact that you can get it is always a plus.

Hope it arrives soon and the skies are clearer
