Outreach fail???

So there we were last night, enjoying views of Jupiter, Venus, Moon, Mars, Saturn etc etc when I suddeny remember the next door neighbour had asked to have a look through my telescope one time.

There could hardly have been a better night, and Saturn really put on a show. I then pointed out various targets with my laser pointer, and using my imaging camera, got them up on screen, M51, M101 etc.

At the end of the little outreach session my neighbour thanked me, and said "That was amazing!, especially the......"

My mind worked quickly, what was the best thing he'd seen? Surely Saturn in all its glory? Apparently not.

"That was amazing!, especially the......GREEN LASER!!! Where can I get one of those??"

Oh well, you win some, you lase some......
