My first solar photo!

My first solar photo using my 1000D, ST80, EQ5 combination.

I know it is slightly out of focus, but I couldn't seem to get Liveview to pick up the sun - might have to look at brightness adjustment or something.

looks good to me today looks nice and clear might get out there my self today if the clouds old of for a while

its a great image stand tall and be proud of this one

Brilliant start!!

I think reducing the exposure right down will help.

A good first image. As Montana says drop the exposure a bit - you can easily "brighten" an image but it impossible to reclaim one that is overexposed (or "clipped" as its often called) darkening white is still white!

When using liveview you may need to set the exposure quite high to get a good viewable image, then drop the exposure to actually take the picture. Hope this helps.
