How can I use these motors?

My wife recently broken her eq5 dual motor set. Not completely, a little soldering and they'd be good to go but she went and ordered the synscan upgrade kit!!. Anyway its the little RJ11 plug that snapped off the DEC motor. So now these motors sit unused. Do they have a resell value even in current state? Would somebody buy them if theyve been repaired prior to sale? or would the motors and handset come in useful on a possible project? Im open to ideas on any of the above

Sell the used motor kit on eBay or ABS. There will always be someone who is capable of repairing the damaged socket and is willing to buy.

Just a thought but would these motors be good enough to construct an electric focuser with?

In theory, I imagine so. In practice you probably need a different gearbox as the stock motor will turn quite slowly. I'd be more tempted to sell them and buy an electric focuser with the proceeds.

I dont actually need a motor focuser, it was just an idea James...I have now put it on ABS!!
