It is an awesome app. I have it on my Iphone. The detail in its database is amazing.

Never could see the point of trying to control your scope with it, though. It's far too small and fiddly to do that, and you have a laptop with EQMOD, or a handset to do all that anyway!

Have seen it used on an ipad - that was well worth it.

I'd bought the app last year, but the connection wire & plug for your pad, is really expensive. £60 for a wired, £150 for a wireless.

The Ipad is the best version for controlling a telescope with the wifi module. This combination makes a perfect teaching tool for when you get asked "what are you looking at". The only problem is once you have shown them it working its hard to get rid of them. Small fuzzy blobs appeal to us, everyone else likes colour pictures.

See what you all really need is an Android phone. It even makes the hot coffee for observing

I use Sky Safari Plus on my Android phone and i'm most impressed. You can control a scope with that version too
