I need help!

Starry night will show you what the constellations looked like three thousand years ago.

I think manually working it out would be a bit of a mission as each star has it's own proper motion...

In starrynight, just change the year to whatever you want (remembering to alter the AD to BC). If you frame the constellation your interested in and then click on the year, you can use the up and down buttons on the keyboard to fly through the years and see that changes as they happen!

No trouble - I'm sorry that I didn't explain more. I looked at your username and muddled you up with someone else (who's been here a while) and just assumed that you would know what I was talking about.
