Polar scope wet knee

Hi All,

has anyone ever had a go at making something that turns a polar scope through 90' like a right angle finder, so that you dont have to crouch down and get wet knees and bad neck ?

You can get garden kneeling pads from wilkos or poundstretcher shops for about £1, thats what I use

The answer to your question is "yes"

I believe some people have used right-angle finders intended for cameras, but the alternative is to fit a webcam to the end of the polar scope and do the alignment on-screen. I'll see if I can find the appropriate thread in a moment.

As per usual if you dont ask...

I must admit it is so simple to make a polar cam why didnt I think of it sooner and due to the image size being larger Im presuming accuracy is better too.
