Jupiter c 9.25

Mine don't look like that through my C9.25. Can I asked what you used to take it please?

I found the c9.25 a difficult scope to use at first, my images were quite poor. Collimation and focus seem critical with this scope, me and a mate share the task of collimating its easier to do.

i purchased a feather touch micro focuser a must with this scope, helps with mirror flop.

Nearly all my jupe shots are taken with my 2.5 x powermate, 3x if seeing permits usualy 2 min runs at 10 fps ie 1200 frames max.

hope this helps. SIMON

Really nice. Focus is spot on. I think the understated colours match my observations of Jupiter very well. Only recently have I seen a bit stronger colour on the planet.

Yes Michael i too have noticed a shift in colour in my latest images.SIMON.

Many thanks Simon.

I use a Baader steeltrack, so presumably focus should be achievable.

I, at present, only use a 2x barlow, so maybe that would be worth upgrading.

Collumation of the C925 has been a bugbear of mine. I know what I should be doing, I just find it difficult. Maybe I'll invest in some software to help.

Do you collumate using the camera? or visual?

I always collumate visualy on a star with a 3x barlow this gives an approx focal length of about 7 metres, also take care to move both in and out of focus so that rings are equal, the star test is still by far the best way but is a pain on these scopes. SIMON
