Hi guys,

For a change – not a Namibia image

This was shot only last month from the Negev Desert, Israel, at a particularly unclear night.

I could not get FWHM under 1.5 or so, regardless of how much I tried – very uncommon to a site where 0.9 is quite common.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed very much the color that eventually came through, and processing was quite straightforward.

I wonder whether endlessly processing dusty fuzzies make emission nebulae seem such a breeze

Anyways, I hope you like it – and here are two resolutions:

1500 pixels wide (I like this one better, since all the detail in the clusters and nebulae is much clearer):

They are both a very slight crop just to get the framing right (since I had to flip in the middle of the session, I got a few min. change between the frames).

Harel, you've done a great job with this target - it's very low in the UK sky, near Sirius, but inspired by your image I may well have a shot at this one
