Widefield Orion & Dont know what

Started taking astro pics and did a 30 second exposure and captured something streaming over the field of view any ideas?

Can you recall or look at the Exif to tell us what time this shot was?

Could be the ISS or satellite passing over. If you can find the time and have stellarium you can look it up and confirm exactly what it was.

Looks like an aircraft (at a higher altitude than I see them - I'm near an airport). You can tell it's an aircraft because you can see the flashing light roughly once a second.

Looks like an airplane, you can see where its strobe has been emitting light at the regular interval shown by the dot along the white line. The line may be that or contrails which I have seen plenty of tonight or the other navigation lights.

Yeah you might be right there, didnt look at the large version, just assumed a satellite but you can clearly see the running lights on the large version

It was at 18:43 tonight from Bathgate west lothian

Really had fun got pics of the moon with webcam and DSLR.

Shame about the lights!!

Flashing light on the trail means its a plane.

The trajectory strikes me as being too curved for a satellite.
