Passed by the county council, 40,000 street lights to be switched off from midnight until 5am.

There's 9 in my vicinity, bring it on.

There were about 850 survey replies, so many thanks for anyone filling in one or two!

There are a few objectors, the lights won't be going off in town centres.

There may be darkness.

It makes a big difference , in my village they have been turned off for a few months now so they make an already dark sky even better.

So much so that the first night that they turned off the lights i nearly fell off the patio for not seeing the edge

its how long it takes i have been grief in them daily ,the lady who shall rename nameless told me it will take at least 3/4 years and thats if they get the funding 40,000 street lights and only 3 staff to cover the whole of Derbyshire each light has to have the gadget fitted,i asked if they would be employing any extra staff and she said no
