this is my first picture of the sun using my st80 and baader film, its just a single shot with my dslr. focus a bit of but pleased none the less.

Do you have a UV/IR filter? it's good for improving pictures.

You should be pleased with that - its a really good first attempt. As you have said focus is a bit out but that can be corrected. Also you could try taking a few shots and stacking them (in registax 5) - you will be amazed at the improvment it will make to the final image.

Yes it does - but I prefer to stack JPEG's. (For absolutely no good technical reason at all!!).
