Stellarium and nexstar 6

Hi,

Can someone please help me with Stellarium and nexstar 6 se.

I cant seem to get the programme to slew the scope.

Does the scope have to be aligned manually before connecting ? It is connected via a USB cable and the scope end is in the auto guide socket.

It appears to be connected ( it says so in the pop up window) but any advise on settings to check would be appreciated.

I am trying direct from Stellarium and not stellarium scope.

I do not know the nexstar 6se but I would not think that stellarium would control via the auto guide socket. I use Stellarium Scope, Stellarium, EQMOD then via the USB adapter to the synscan socket. Dont know if this helps sorry.

It needs to go through the rs232 socket in the handset I believe

Hi

Works ok on mine.

Definately plug cable in bottom of handset.

Also check the com port being used by the usb adaptor and that it's the same as the one chosen by the configuration page in stellarium.

You still need to align the scope, but once aligned, just use the keyboard shortcut, at work typing this and can't remember but think it's just press F1 ?? But the configuration page tells you.

Anyway, if you get stuck, I'll set mine up and take a few screen shots for you.
