What size of aperture is your off-axis solar filter?

What about adjusting the aperture of it? Would that help with resolution (larger aperture) or contrast (smaller)?

I made my solar filter today for the same scope, the sun had already gone down though. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Some really nice surface detail you picked up there, didn't know baader film gave any surface detail tbh.

hi, nice pics! i have a 200pds and have got some baader film, i just made a filter for my st80, did you make a filter the size of your 200's full aperture or just a small one that goes over the small hole in the front cap, im not sure if this would work or i would need a full one.

its a full aperture filter,i didnt make it, purchaced one from flo.I took an 2 min avi and ran it through registax 6.Cant wait to try again,its a nice change from sitting in the cold in the small hours.
