Have any of you guys/girls been anywhere (camping also) that you really enjoyed the night skies too?

the missus owns a van on the south coast......in selsey .....near the great sir PM....bunn leisure.....they have pitches with ehu....for tents and motorhomes....and they rent statics....I've had skies there as good as I had in cyprus.....not awesome but pretty good....much much better than london!

try any caravan park in North Norfolk (ie Kelling Heath) dark skies and peaceful!!

According to the Night Sky Simulator the tip of the Lleyn peninsula is significantly darker.

North Yorkshire, Wensleydale has some stunning dark skies. The hills around Hawes are exceptional. Plenty of camp sites around too.

RV in the Canadian Rockies. Don't think its feasible for you to drive there though, but the skies at that alt on a clear night absolutely amazing.
