Carl Sagan's widow is writing it. A new 13 episode rewrite. I don't know the new presenter Tyson; does anyone ?

Just bought the original on DVD from Amazon £5.99. Get it before they spoil it !

He did the Pluto Files on PBS the other week. He is a director (or was) of a planetarium, which was the start of the Pluto story told in the doc. I found him OK to watch - but then I find most people talking about Astrophysics good to watch.

Have a search for some of his lectures/presentations on youtube. Can't think of anyone better (off the top of my head) to carry on Carls legacy

Personally I think this can only be a good thing. There are not enough documentary's on this wonderful subject. I am a huge fan of Carl Sagan. So I think remaking Cosmos will be a positive experience. Would of liked Brian Cox to do it though. Dont know Mr Tyson.
