HELP with scope rings

I have a problem with my telescope as i recently bought a sky watcher skymax 127mm maksutov but when it came it turns out it was the model for a equatorial mount. I have a goto mount from my old telescope and even though the scope works the mounting plate is on the wrong side therefore the telescope has to go the opposite way to what it should be. this means I cannot align it.

I was wondering what mounting rings i would need and where from?

can you not just mount the scope upside down and turn the diagonal round? that's what the manufacturers do

then the finderscope is on the bottom and its not much use there:D

Attach the finder scope to the top with velcro and then the problem will be solved.

Might use some form of tape thinking about it as it will make it more secure

The double sided sticky velcro is AMAZING stuff. The adhesive that will be touching your scope is uuber strong as is the velcro hooks and loops.

No need for any kind of glue. It will come off if you want it too without damaging the paint on the tube.

for my Telrad bases I use the small double sided foam pads that people buy for car number plates. I get them from my local car spares place for about 10p each. very very secure but easily removed with no damage if required.
