£598 is a lot to pay for that - you can get it at least £75 cheaper at FLO.

Hi Brantuk, thanks for that, but actually only used that link to point out the actual mount, I'm just trying to find out the weight of the complete mount so I can post it to a possible buyer.

Ohhh I see - I've sold three CG5's but folks have allways picked up from me. Sorry I can't help with shipping other than to suggest bathroom scales?

I just tried the Celestron site for specs but they appear to have changed the software and the links aren't working. The weight would be in there.

Lol - you can allways weight the individual bits (mount, tripod, weights, etc) and then add them al up - good luck

It lists the shipping weight on the website as 25.85kg.

I posted one earlier this year (but only had one counter weight) and I think it cost me about £40 by Parcelforce.
