What about "Nagler"... I had assumed it was "Nagg-ler" but at Kielder I overheard someone pronouncing it "Neigh-gler" - anyone know which it is?

It's "Neigh-gler"

Thats how Al Nagler pronounces it and he should know !

Oh, well I've been getting that wrong for ages then. Not sure I can change now, they will have to remain nagg-lers.

Mentioned before but Betelgeuse is one I never am sure of, normally go for a somewhat 'muttered under the breath' Beetle juice.

You did indeed! Probably the best thing is to say the words with confidence, however you pronounce them, and then nobody will question you :-)
