Bobs Knobs for a Skyliner 250PX

Reading previous advice of many on SGL I've decided to to send off for a set of Bobs Knobs for both Primary and Secondary mirrors (my new dobo arrives in the next day or so...).

Studying the relevant Skywatcher kit on Bobs site I couldn't quite decide if I needed 30mm or 35mm screw length for the secondary.

One piece of advice given on SGL was to email Bob direct as he is (apparently) quite good at responding.

I sent off a query and you can imagine my surprise (and delight) when Bob replied within half an hour.

Excellent customer service!

Let's hear it for Bob's Knobs.

If your secondary looks like this (with grub screws for collimation adjustment):

you need 30mm long screws.

If it looks like this (with Phillips screws for collimation adjustment):

you need 35mm long screws.

I've just used Bobs Knobs for my SCT, as you say a really fast service!

I got mine here WDS 8168 Thumb Screw, Plastic Hand Knobs - WDS They are the same thing for a fraction of the price. 8168-227 are a perfect length at 25mm long.

Why do you need them for the primary? Surely the adjustment screws which come with it are perfectly ok.
