First light with modded camera - M1

Having been laid up for a few months with an injury I finally got out tonight for a session with the newly modded 1000D. Dashing from target to target like a newbie really but thought I'd post this one as it's an improvement on my previous Crab from last year.

Just 40 minutes of data in 4 minute subs at ISO800.

Yes there's a slight gradient needs dealing with - only noticed it when I previewed this post - will have to sort that out another day.

Thanks for the comments. Self moding wasn't as hard as I'd expected. Hardest part was getting used to disconnecting the ribbon cables, and cutting off the filter. Also, I do seem to have been left with a few dust bunnies on the chip itself so if I was doing it again, I'd take greater care making sure it's free of dust before reassembling.

Thanks Peter - I already am after one session with it. So glad I bit the bullet and did it myself. I think I'd pushed the camera as far as I could unmodded.
