Oh no, not again!

When ever anything interesting happens in the night sky, like the astroid visit, we seem to get clouds from North to South and East to West here in Helston, Cornwall.

I really hate this cloud cover! In London it's been like this for ages! :'(

We should all know by now, exciting things = cloud. Believe you have to have 6"+ app and no civilisation for 9123777 miles to see it whizz past ! Nasa site is tracking it so maybe vids to come.

Nope. It would have been about magnitude 11 or 12, and very low on the Western horizon as seen from Britain, so not much chance even in a 'scope. Perhaps the rain (pretty steady drizzle, hereabouts) is a blessing in disguise, at least it'll stop those anguished would-be asteroid-spotters writing angrily in droves to the Press, complaining "I didn't see nothin'!".
