Through the clouds and haze today (had to miss out yesterday due to cloud!). Just the full disc image taken. Registax would only take 29/100 frames - which shows just how poor the seeing was.

Thats a GORGEOUS image. Dont derate this one, its very impressive. You have such a clear contrast on the sunspots, and even at this scale, the detail holds up very well.

Great shot. Can I see granulation or is it an effect from the digital imaging.

You can see the granulation and faculae (especially near the limb where the contrast is better).

My self written action is:

Start with a colour image straight from the camera, crop to square and then:

Hue + Sat: check colourise and set to Hue=40 Sat=47

Vibrance: =50

Bright and Con: Bri=42 Con=40

Unsharp Mask 1: 250Px rad 40%

Unsharp Mask 2: 1.5Px rad 50%

Image size: 1024 x 1024 (only use this line if you need to change image size)

Brightness: =50
